My name is Alix – my life takes place outside: preferably high-altitude mountaineering, in summer and winter in the mountains – often the alps.
For 25 years, I shared my passion for high-altitude mountaineering with my husband Luis Stitzinger, also Marmot Athlete.
With seven eight-thousanders climbed without the use of artificial oxygen, I am one of the most successful German high-altitude mountaineers.
In the early summer of 2023, Luis did not return from his 10th eight-thousander, Kangchendzönga in Nepal.
I am facing the challenge of mastering my new life alone and continuing to live my passion for high-altitude mountaineering with Luis in my heart.
