Climbing
2008
I am a passionate climber who is inspired by all forms of climbing. It does not matter if I am challenged by a small boulder or a large alpine face, as long as I am surrounded by equally motivated climbers. But if I was forced to choose one discipline, I would stay with alpine climbing because it is the most varied style of climbing and I simply love being surrounded by mountains. My aim is to feel strong and comfortable on any kind of terrain. I am currently a student at the Stockholm School of Economics, where I study the master programme in economics.
It is difficult to single out a few climbing highlights when there are so many memorable moments to choose from. Nonetheless, I will always cherish the excitement of stepping up on the podium after a successful competition. Similarly, climbing my first 8b was particularly rewarding because I had just recovered from an injury. The most thrilling moment was probably getting caught in a snowstorm on Aiguille Verte and spending the night on a tiny ledge.
